Álfheiður Marta is a director from Reykjavík, Iceland.

She recently directed episodes in the drama series Death of a Horse (Act4/ Windlight Pictures) for RÚV and ZDF, currently in post production. She also directed two episodes of Black Sands II (Glassriver) for Sýn and distributed globally by All3media.

Her work also includes non-scripted series such as Vinátta (2021) and Mannflóran (2023), as well as the documentary Lesblinda, nominated for an Edda Award.

Marta has directed commercial campaigns for clients such as for Icelandair, TM Insurance, Landsvirkjun Energy, and The Bank of Iceland, along with PSAs for the Pink Ribbon, Stígamót and more, earning her multiple nominations at the Icelandic Advertising Awards.

Álfheiður was nominated as director of the year at the Icelandic TV awards for both 2023 and 2024.
